If you are a student who has had your life shaped significantly by a family member, such as a parent or sibling, we want to hear about it! Our team at the Law Office of David E. Gordon is thrilled to offer the 2025 Nuclear Family Scholarship, which allows students to share how a member of their immediate family has shaped them into who they are today.
As a law firm that strives to treat each client we help as if they’re family, we understand how important the effect of having family in your life can be. That’s why we wanted to use this scholarship to get students to think about how their family has shaped them into the person they are today. It is easy to take family for granted, so we hope this scholarship will help students who are going through life-defining experiences in college to reflect on their past relationships and to continue shaping themselves into well-rounded young adults.
Our team will award one winner $1,000 to help with their education costs. While we will likely receive many strong applications from deserving students, we will select the individual who we feel best shares their story of how a member of their immediate family has shaped them into the person they are today. Applicants must also meet the following eligibility requirements.
Eligibility
- Our scholarship is open to any current high school senior, college student or graduate student who is a legal resident of the United States and resides in one of the 50 states or the District of Columbia.
- The applicant must be enrolled in a two to five-year post-secondary institution for the Fall 2025 semester.
- Employees of the Law Office of David E. Gordon, their immediate families (parent, child, sibling, and spouse), and persons living in the same households of such individuals (whether related or not), are not eligible to apply for this scholarship.
- Candidates for this scholarship should have a GPA of 3.0 or higher, and be in good overall academic standing.
